| 5/28/2010 (Late night) We finished our video essay, here is a link to it. Team 110 LIS Moonbots Video Essay 5/28/2010 Updated MoonBot Design conforming to the size limits of the MoonBot Challenge. Our robot is built on two modular bases, which could be duplicated and more modules added to make the robot longer for different missions like collection or transportation. Each module can have gearing to drive the wheels, or they can be bypassed for free-wheeling. Larger diameter wheels will be added for terrain clearance. The joints between the modules flex to allow for varying terrain. Sensors or manipulator can be easily added or removed depending on the mission requirements. We have a basic module to the side.
